China insight!

What do you do when you visit a foreign country? The most important thing:  CLICK PICTURES!!   as many pictures as possible, be it of the road, the chair, the pillow, the sky, every little bit of it! And that is exactly what I did. Looks rather dull, doesn't it? But my intention was to capture every moment of it and I did just that! It was raining early in the morning but the sullen climate was overpowered by the sumptuous spread of breakfast that we all got to eat every day: Eggs, bread, fruit salad, broccoli and a cup of Ceylon tea to finish it off! We all headed off to the lobby chattering about our travel and cherishing moments from our ice-breaker and in the process meeting a lot of new people and extending friendship! Beep...Burr!!! Beep...Burrr!! The alarm rang multiple times and I woke up with a start! It was the day I had to leave for China to attend the ASES Summit in Hangzhou ; this was really exciting and I was going alone which was slightly scary! After I got my visa with an inevitable, last-minute hustle I headed towards KIA with my family. We arrived at the airport and as much as I wanted to board that flight and explore the independence and the thrill of traveling, my arms wrapped around my parents seem to sing a different song! Stifling all my doubts and bidding an emotional goodbye, I took my first step towards my solo, international stride and it was only the beginning to a roller-coaster two weeks of my life! I took a flight to Kolkata and I had to then board an early morning flight to Kunming, China on the 4th of June 2017. It was 8:00 a.m., we still had 10 more minutes until we had to leave for the university, hence my friends and I decided to check out a souvenir shop at the lobby. There were many articles such as egg-shaped magnets, Chinese chessboard, beautiful lamps, comb set and so much more and they all had the air of simplicity. Safe, portable, foldable and easy to use, this camera is the one thing we all need when we want to capture ultimate moments without having to lose a hand to the phone or a selfie stick or honor passers-by with the privilege to capture our personal moments! It was 6:00 a,m, the mild pattering of the rain against the windows, the coziness, and warmth of the bed and my subconscious mind thousands of miles away, in Bangalore were all jolted into reality when the telephone rang. Every day, we all had to assemble at the lobby by 8:10 a.m. sharp and they were very strict about it and to ensure that none of us delayed, they used to give us a ring exactly an hour earlier and it took some time getting used to the routine calls and now that I am back, it would take a while not having the punctual privilege! Ever since we formed our teams to prepare for the final pitch presentation on our business ideas, we could see the usual crowd and inter-mixed groups slowly mold into swarms of covert, deep discussions.
